Coronavirus Precautions and Bod Gwynedd

Update 23rd March 2022.

We never thought we would be writing an update to Covid in year 3 but here we are!

For the foreseeable future Covid is still likely to be a part of our daily lives in one way or another so we will continue to offer a friendly, clean and Covid safe environment for our guests with hand sanitizer at key points, full table service breakfast and room privacy unless requested. Our being on the edge of the village has proved to be a major plus with the extra space to walk unencumbered, more daylight and less congested conditions.

As with last two years our minimum stay has increased to 3 nights with the occasional availability of a 2 night stay depending on how the rooms book up. This has been a real eye opener for many of our guests as it has allowed them time to explore the many attractions that North Wales has to offer.

Update 17th May 2021.

The good news is we are back open as are the pubs, restaurants and shops in Betws-y-coed.

Until we are informed otherwise we will still be adhering to the Welsh Government guidelines re. personal distance, increased cleaning and hand sanitizer. This has forced us to adopt a few additional procedures and precautions to keep everyone safe and happy during your stay with us.

Due to the current increase in the Indian variant in England we are asking guests to only come If you have had one or more vaccine jabs plus, of course, If you or anyone you know has been in touch with someone who is likely to have contracted Covid please contact us to re-arrange your holiday for a later date. Diolch.

Bookings and Cancellations

We have decided to impose a minimum stay of 3 nights s to allow our guests a better chance of securing a longer break or complete weekend which has not been easy in the past. There is so much to do in and around Snowdonia we promise you will not get bored!
Snowdonia is now officially the adventure capital of the UK with Zipworld, GoBelow, Surf Snowdonia, Co-steering, helicopter rides and Menai Adventures to name a few plus we can boast World Class beaches, stunning, extensive views, plenty of castles and history and the odd mountain or two. Far more than you can do and see in 2 days!

Why not Bubble up with Friends or Family and book several rooms for a week of exploring and memories?

 Precautions and Improvements

For yours, and our safety, we have further improved the cleaning processes in the rooms and in the common areas of the B&B. We, like everyone, have also had to modify what we can offer in the rooms during your stay but it will still feel homely and lovely. This is part required by the Welsh Health department but primarily we feel happier offering a safe, clean environment where you can relax and we can run the business with confidence.
As has happened in the past you may wish to bring some of the little luxuries with you such as your own umbrella,  hairdryer, slippers or even pillows. Towels, flannels, shampoo, soap, bedding, tea & coffee and a few extras will be in your room.
Please note: We are currently not allowed to offer a hairdryer in the rooms. If you require one during your stay please remember to bring one with you.

Before, During and on-Going

- A thorough deep clean of the Guesthouse prior to opening
- A deep clean of rooms prior to check-in
- Enhanced cleaning of touch surfaces in common areas during your stay
- A reduced number of tables in the dining room and at least 2m distancing between tables
- Breakfast divided into different sittings to reduce the number of guests in the dining room

Breakfast

For the foreseeable future breakfast will be in 2, timed sittings, with the buffet style fruit and cereal options being replaced by pre-ordered table service.  We will still be serving our renowned full breakfast with vegetarian, vegan options available and allergies catered for. Cleaning During Your Stay        Good2Gosmall.jpg_1595075122

In accordance with guidelines we will not be able to enter or clean your room during your stay. If you run short of toiletries, biscuits, tea/coffee etc. simply text or catch us and we will leave more outside your room.

We have also invested in additional recycling bins which will be placed in the hallway plus additional bags will be provided for your use during your stay.

Hand sanitizer is available at various points around the B&B including the breakfast room.

If you do see someone entering the house or in the hallways please give them space to maintain the 2 metre distance.

The Future

It is likely that some form of restrictions will be with us for some time to come so we are likely to evolve our procedures and offerings where possible and applicable. If you have any suggestions please feel free to let us know.
