Booking a room or rooms with Bod Gwynedd B&B constitutes a verbal or electronic contract between yourself and ourselves. If you book by phone, via our website or ancillary websites such as, TripAdvisor or other we will take, and validate your card details to secure the room however no payment will be taken at this stage (unless you have booked a non-refundable room rate in which case payment will be taken 4 hours after booking*)
For direct bookings amendments can be made up to 2 weeks prior to your date of arrival at which point Full Payment will be taken from your submitted card and is non-refundable. For bookings via 3rd party sites such as this increases to 4 weeks. If payment cannot be taken for any reason we will attempt to contact you to rectify the situation however if we cannot do so within 24 hours your reservation will be cancelled.
We are a small business and cannot afford to offer refunds because of unfavourable weather.  We therefore always advise travellers to take out Holiday Insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances such as car trouble, work, an illness in the family or with a pet or travel restrictions. 

Please note we are cannot accommodate children, babies or pets. This is our advertised policy and is for the convenience of all our guests. If you arrive with a child, baby or pet we will not be able to accommodate you or offer a refund. 

Check-in times are 4pm-7pm. We understand that traffic, flights and ferries can affect arrival times however we would appreciate a call, message or text prior to the arrival date (or arranged arrival time to keep us informed so we can plan around any delays.

Earlier check-in where possible we try and accommodate our guests who are in the area early and want an early check-in however due to the additional cleaning required due to Covid we may ask you to leave your car in the carpark and go exploring before we can let you in if you are here pre 1-2pm. 

Checkout time is 10am. This is so we can prepare for the next guest and clean the B&B. There is plenty of unrestricted on-road parking outside of the B&B if you wish to go for a final walk or shop in Betws-y-Coed before departing.

We are happy to, and regularly do accommodate guests on a restricted or special diet with prior notice as some items we do not keep in regular stock. This includes vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, celiac and lactose intolerant. 

If you are booking for a special event please let us know and we will try and help make your stay extra special. We frequently have guests with birthdays, anniversaries, honeymooners, wedding parties, recovering from an event, recently retired or ticking off items on their "bucket list" and will be happy to advise on or book restaurants. 

Please be aware that we charge for damage to or theft from our property. This includes bedding, towels, furniture and electrical items. This may sound petty but is, unfortunately born from years of experience!  If you have dyed your hair, added to your tan before coming away, sleep with makeup on we can provide dark towels and pillowcases. We also ask guests not to eat greasy food such as pizza, curry, chips (and red wine) in the rooms as bedding is the main item of damage we have to charge for. If you "forget" to tell us about the damage or who owns the hairdryer, mugs or picture we will debit your payment card and email you an explanation and photographic evidence.  Apologies if this all sounds draconian.

Vehicles using our carpark do so at "the owners risk". If you are arriving late or in the dark you may wish to park out the front of the house until daylight when it is easier to see the walls and other vehicles. Parking out the front is completely unrestricted.

Booking Policy

Our cancellation policy is 2 weeks prior to your stay when booking direct and 30 days before when booking via online booking agents. At 14 or 30 days before your stay full payment will be taken from the registered card and is non-refundable. We always advise our guests to take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances to do with pets, family, transport and illness. If payment cannot be taken we will attempt to contact you to correct the issue. If we are unable to take payment within 24 hours the booking will be cancelled.
